NnG Pittenweem Community Awards

As part of its investment in offshore wind farms, NnG is require to make a long term commitment to community grants for those coastal towns and villages most impacted by the investment. For Pittenweem, the fund is £10,800 this year.
The allocation of the grants to individual community groups was made by a local panel organised by the Community Council. The over-arching aim in considering requests for funds is to improve the lives of the people who live in Pittenweem. The awards reflect a wide cross section of community groups and activities and are summarised in the table below.
The next round of funding will begin in January 2027 with applications sought from community groups and awards made in April. The total amount available will be £11,500. All community groups are encouraged to consider applying

Summer of Sport 2026

Summer of Sport 2026 Club and Community Fund
Purpose
To inform elected members of a funding opportunity being delivered through the Summer of Sport 2026 programme in partnership with sportscotland.
The fund aims to increase participation in sport and physical activity across Fife, particularly for children and young people, while maximising the opportunities presented by major sporting events taking place in 2026.
Key Information
Grants will be available to support sports clubs, community organisations and voluntary groups to deliver local sport and physical activity opportunities across Fife.
The fund is intended to:
· Increase participation in sport and physical activity.
· Reduce barriers that prevent people from taking part.
· Support children and young people aged 3-26 years.
· Improve access for underrepresented communities.
· Create lasting opportunities for ongoing participation beyond 2026.
Funding can support a wide range of activities, including coaching programmes, holiday activities, community events, inclusive sports opportunities, equipment and facility hire.
The Summer of Sport 2026 – Club and Community Fund applications process opens on 10 August 2026.
Projects must be delivered by 31 March 2027.
Who Can Apply?
Applications will be welcomed from eligible Fife-based organisations, including sports clubs, community sport hubs, charities, trusts, community organisations and voluntary groups.
What Members Can Do
Elected members are encouraged to:
· Share information about the fund with local clubs, community groups and organisations within your ward, particularly those working with children and young people.
· Help maximise awareness of the opportunity by sharing Fife Council communications and social media posts when applications open on 10 August 2026.

Key Message
The Summer of Sport 2026 Club & Community Fund provides an opportunity to help more children and young people across Fife become active, participate in local sporting opportunities and establish lifelong connections with sport and physical activity, creating a positive legacy beyond the major sporting events of 2026.
